Welcome to FitCycology

Keep your body fit & strong

We are a boutique cycle studio built on love, sweat, and support! We are committed to helping you achieve your personal fitness goals!

We offer a variety of group indoor cycling classes geared to all fitness levels. All of our classes provide a high-energy, high-intensity workout in a friendly, supportive class setting. FitCycology also offers private classes with our professionally certified instructors.

Walks-ins are always welcome. Preregistration is recommended to reserve your spot in class.

Riding on an empty tank is not advised! We recommend that you hydrate with plenty of water and a light snack. Not sure what to wear? We suggest a tank or t-shirt and form-fitting shorts or pants.

Before your first ride, you need to sign a waiver. You can print one out and bring it in or ask for one at the front desk. If you are under 18, you need one signed by a parent IN PERSON. Please arrive at the studio 10-15 minutes before your ride so we can give you a tour of the studio and help adjust your bike.

At FitCycology, we provide you with a complimentary water bottle and snack, along with cubby space to park your gear! If you’re wearing cycle shoes, all our bikes are compatible with SPD shoes. Toiletries and hair ties are available as well, so if you’ve forgotten something, don’t sweat it! We likely have what you need!

Just as you would with any new exercise, please consult your doctor before starting an indoor cycling routine. Our rides offer a full body workout and a rigorous cardio experience, so make sure you listen to your body during class. Your FitCycology Instructor will help you achieve your personal best performance, but your safety comes first. If at any time during or after a class you feel any unusual symptoms, please notify us and/or seek medical attention.

Our indoor cycling classes utilize top-of-the-line SchwinnTM bikes and include aerobic and anaerobic intervals. Our instructors will guide you through high-intensity interval rides, set to ROCKING music, using cadence and baseline resistance metrics, while incorporating resistance and speed training, to ensure a consistent, challenging, and upbeat workout!

About FitCycology — Our Mission:

Create a fun and accessible experience for riders of all ages and fitness levels.

Fuel each ride with amazing music and energy in a safe and comfortable environment.

Deliver unparalleled service and an exhilarating experience that exceeds your expectations of a great cardio fitness workout.

Rock YOUR ride—each and every time!

We offer a variety of challenging classes, all of which are fueled with motivational music and inspiring instructors to guide you to ROCKING your ride!

Kick your cycling workout into high gear with this intense class! High intensity interval training (HIIT) involves repeated bouts of high intensity effort followed by varied recovery times. In this class, you will follow intense work periods ranging anywhere from 10 seconds to 8 minutes long at 80% to 95% of your estimated maximal heart rate, the maximum number of times your heart will beat in a minute without overexerting yourself. The recovery periods may last equally as long as the work periods and are usually performed at 40% to 50% of your estimated maximal heart rate. This class is designed to burn maximum calories, build your endurance, AND challenge your limits, so make sure you have plenty of water and a towel for this one!

Our experienced Instructors

Our instructors are friendly and motivational.
Their enthusiasm and energy is contagious!

Tarin Hackbarth

Tarin began cycling when her father asked her to join him on the Tour de Goshen; from that first ride, she was hooked! Tarin already had a strong foundation built in fitness industry as a Interactive Fitness Trainers of America (IFTA) Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer, so adding her IFTA Cycling certification came naturally. Tarin loves to encourage her riders to work hard and enjoy the ride! When she is not at the cycling studio, she can be found teaching yoga, hiking, or being a road warrior with outdoor running or cycling. She also carries certifications from Kettlebell Concepts and is an RYT 200 through YogaFit.

Nicole Jackson

Nicole is the founder of FitCycology and a Madd Dogg Athletics certified STAR 2 Spinning Instructor. She holds several certifications in the fitness industry, including the National Academy of Sports Medicine as certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Specialist. Cycling is her passion and it shows in every class! Nicole is motivated to help every client reach their full potential, so prepare to sweat, smile, and reach for your inner athlete. With a love for hip-hop, R&B, and techno, expect a playlist with a wide variety and plenty of beat drops.

Karen Mastropietro

Karen is the General Manager and Instructor at FitCycology. She started taking spinning classes 5 years ago and was hooked from her very first class! She became a certified Mad Dogg Athletics Instructor 2 years ago. She knows how much a great ride can reduce stress and provide the perspective you need to take on new challenges. Karen strives to make every ride challenging, motivating, and most important, FUN! When Karen is not on the bike, she is enjoying life with her husband and two daughters. In her free time, she likes to hike the gorgeous Hudson Valley and try new restaurants and breweries. Upon meeting Karen, you’ll find she exudes positive and enthusiastic energy!

Peggy McMahon

Peggy is a certified Madd Dogg Athletics Spinning Instructor. Additionally, she holds many fitness-related certifications, including AFAA Personal Trainer, TRX Instructor, and POUND Rockout Instructor. She also has group exercise instruction experience that includes bootcamp, circuits, HIIT, and strength training. Needless to say, she’s a fitness enthusiast—so much so that she chose to make her passion her profession for over 10 years now! Peggy believes that being “fit” is attained with a perfect balance of cardio endurance and strength. Her group workouts are interval based, which allows each individual to work at his/her own level while still feeling challenged. When she’s not busy training or teaching, Peggy enjoys running as well as spending time out and about with friends. Upon meeting Peggy, you’ll find she’s not only very passionate about fitness, but she’s eager to share that passion and enthusiasm with all she meets!

Colleen Paulson

Colleen is a certified Madd Dogg Athletics Spinning Instructor. Additionally, she holds certifications as a Personal Trainer and an AFAA Group Exercise Instructor. Colleen has a true passion for fitness, which shines through her classes. Her rides are physically and mentally challenging, ensuring that you are always working to your true potential: “Ride where you are today to be stronger for tomorrow.”

Lisa Switzer

Lisa is a certified Madd Dogg Athletics Spinning Instructor. She's a registered nurse by profession, but is always happiest when riding a bike! Outdoor, long distance cycling is her passion, and it certainly shines through in her cycling class instruction! Lisa loves teaching indoor cycling because it gives her the opportunity to share her passion with a group of like-minded people, who are willing to work hard to get/stay healthy and fit. Her rides are challenging, motivating, and filled with LOVE; “I love to see people happy and succeeding. Life is a journey, not a competition.”

Danny Valentin

Danny is a Madd Dogg Athletics certified STAR 2 Spinning Instructor and a high school English teacher by trade. He approaches his cycle classes in the same vein that he approaches his students at school: Work HARD and SMART! The moment you meet Danny, you will find he is an inviting, positive, enthusiastic soul, whose passion for teaching indoor cycling is infectious! In Danny’s classes, you can expect to see a variety of endurance, strength, fartlek, and interval profiles; as well as be motivated and inspired to reach for your personal best! Off the bike, you will see him walking around Goose Pond with his pug, his nose inside a book, or seeking out new adventures--near or far!
